Phil Wood's name has been synonymous with quality since he first brought sealed bearing components to the cycling market in the 1970s.

As fully expected, Phil Wood spokes are on par with the best in the world. These double butted stainless steel spokes start at a diameter of 2.0mm (14 gauge) at each end and taper to 1.8mm (15 gauge) in the middle for lighter weight, and the butted end sections are kept short to reduce bending at spoke intersections and reduce weight.

Available in 250-310mm custom cut & threaded lengths, rounded to the nearest whole number (no decimals).

Threads are rolled, not cut, using exactly the same process as a spoke factory.

We also offer uncut 270mm and 310mm blank spokes without threads, if you're not sure of the length you need and you or your wheelbuilder have the ability to cut and thread them (270mm can be cut down to 230mm, 310mm can be cut as short as 275mm).

Spokes are sold individually, and nipples are not included.

 

When adding spokes to a custom wheel build order, please choose 'custom wheel build - we calculate' from the menu list and we will determine the correct length based on the rims, hubs and lacing pattern chosen.

Please note: We do not provide spoke calculations if we are not building your wheels. If you are building your own wheels or having them built by someone else, you or the wheel builder are responsible for calculating and ordering the correct spoke length.

Unless there is a cutting/threading defect or shipping mistake, spokes are not returnable.
